The Escobar Didn't seat on the sideline…they got involved with their family's health needs! Guillermo and Ofelia Escobar have a 5-year-old daughter, Ana Karen and a 2-year-old daughter, Donia. Donya and Ana Karen both were born with congenital hypothyroidism. The good news is the parents took both daughters to get their test when they were a baby. Their commitment to ensuring their children have regular
doctor visits is the reason the disease was detected early. If they had not had the test done in a timely manner, and the condition discovered early and treated, one or both could have developed mental
retardation. Both girls take their medicines and are very healthy and active.
The Escobar family is originally from Mexico and has made Dallas their home for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Escobar believe in going to get check ups on a regular basis. Their attitude about taking personal responsibility for your health has yielded them two healthy and active daughters.
